If Obama's Black grandmother was ill would he have dropped everything and gone right away?

Hmmm...good question and one we must ponder...and after careful consideration I'm going to have to say...

NO, he would not have dropped everything to visit his black Grandma.

He threw Typical White Grandma (who is afraid of black men and is a racist according to Barry) under the bus and it would not look good politically for him NOT to go there while she's sick. I think he should have gone sooner (as I would have for someone who raised me).

There is also the nasty little business of a lawsuit that was JUST filed in Hawaii on Monday having to do with his Birth Certificate. Maybe he'll have time to deal with that while he's there. If Obama's Black grandmother was ill would he have dropped everything and gone right away?
How do you idiots read this as attacking Obama's grandmother? It's a legitimate question that we don't know the answer to...WHY did he keep campaigning if her grandmother is deathly ill? How bad would he have looked if he had been on the campaign trail and she died before he made it there? That's on him, not his grandmother!

Now then....if he really thought she was deathly ill, he would have gone to visit her when he found out. It would have effected him noticeably at any campaign rally, and people would totally have understood why he left the campaign. But 2 or 3 days later, it almost has the appearance of McCain saying he wasn't going to be at the debate until something was passed about the economy.

%26lt;%26lt;%26lt;Time traveler...he does. But I'm not going to criticize him if he really is going to check on his grandmother. I believe Andy Martin is the guy that brought the lawsuit...Andy something, some talk show host/writer from Chicago. If Obama's Black grandmother was ill would he have dropped everything and gone right away?
He didn't drop everything he finished the business at hand and continued with at least two days worth of campaigning before taking off.

She was ill enough that she wasn't able to make his convention, but I guess the doctors are not giving her much time. That's why he felt he needed to go now.

Why is it if a republican went it would be considered so endearing and such a great show of family values they love to spew. Yet, its a democrat so he might be dangerous.

BTW a book about a Goat was still there after 9/11

Grandmother might not be there after a week or two.
Ouch. You meanie.

I'm sort of with Obama on this non-issue. He couldn't just run from Florida (he needs to work his magical powers there--let's face it, Michelle can't do it, and even the timing of the Powell endorsement can't) but he does need to see his grandmother if she's ill and dying.
I would have thought so. Usually when you have a gravely ill family member, you do go right away, no matter what. I know i did. You never know about Obama as he may have a hidden agenda, like perhaps a pending lawsuit on his birth records. Who knows, he is so full of secrets anyways.
I think his visit has more to do with the lawsuit filed in the supreme court of Hawaii demanding to see his birth certificate. I don't believe he is close with this grandma since are no recent pictures of them together in 30 yrs!
He should've left the next day, or earlier .

Note how incredibly ignorant the libs are on your question and mine.....I don't understand why you spend time here when there's greener pastures 'over there'...(you know where )
I don't know, But I know she got out of the hospital weeks ago. So why didn't he go before? I'm glad she's better, but his timing is odd.
I am voting McCain but this question is so wrong on so many levels I can not begin to give a thought out answer.

Yes.
You do realize that it doesn't actually help defeat Obama when you sink this low to attack him, right?
Questions like that is exactly the reason why repugs are loosing so badly..
Notice how they attack your question, but won't answer it. No is the answer.
No, she is not on the agenda for change.
Stuff like this, and Palin, is why McCain can't win.
maybe maybe not. i don't know and i don't really care.
His ';Mammy'; raised him.
