With Socialized Health Care will only the healthy survive? And the ill will be on rationed health care and die?

Will future health care be rated on cost if your worth it or not. With Socialized Health Care will only the healthy survive? And the ill will be on rationed health care and die?
That about sums it up.....say bye to mom, dad, grammy, grampy, etc. when they get up there in years....they'll just get painkillers. See Page lines 59 %26amp; 239 :

Well if it works like the other countries national health care plans yes. If you just want to see a doctor because you have a runny nose you'll be able to call an ambulance and get a free ride to your appointment. If something comes up like an episode of Mash that you haven't see at least three times then you can cancel your appointment or just don't show up and schedule a new one at no cost.

On the other hand if you're really sick and need Heart surgery, Cancer treatment or dialysis then you may be in trouble. If you check the mortality rates for those types of diseases in the nationalized health care countries you'll see that its probably twice as likely that you will die.
No, you are thinking about the current system.

The proposed plan:

*** will allow you to keep your plan if you are happy with it.

*** will not endorse euthanasia

*** will not require nationalization of heath services

*** will help ensure that insurance companies do not drop you if your medical costs run too high or need treatment they don't want to supply

*** is supported by doctors and nurses

The only people against it are those who favor the status quo, so the insurance companies, not the doctors, control the health care you can receive and those who believe the lies and propaganda disseminated through their spokespersons -- Limbaugh and O'Reily.
It certainly doesn't work like that in the UK the NHS are actually paying for my wife to stay at a private specialist facility.

As Tony Benn said if we can find money to kill people then we can find money to help people. The problem with health is often that people who face ill health suffer financial hardship. A social health care system is designed to provide care for all who need it. As a Brit I can tell you it does work it isn't perfect but the idea that someone who needs treatment can't get it because of a clause in their policy or because they do not have the money is well... I am sorry to say inhumane.

I believe you will find the standard of health in all western nations with a National Health Service is significantly better than the USA. How the government implement it and how it links with private health care is the real issue here.

Where an issue of cost is an issue the NHS in Britain does make an assessment, this is based on the chance of success and the outcome of that success, what will the quality of your life be. They do not look at whether you ';deserve it'; or how much you contribute to society etc. The way I see it is this, it is a waste of time for a surgeon to be performing surgery on a patient who will die in 3 months anyway simply because that person represents a profit. When they could be using that time to help a person extend their life or quality of life significantly.

Free market capitalism has many strengths but making a profitable business out of Health care is too far. Personally I am not convinced about Obama's agenda in any matter. I believe him to be heavily influenced by commercial interests so I find this step very out of sync and it leads me to suspect that there is an alternative motive.
No, that's propaganda and outright lies.

Have you been living on the moon? You must not be living in America, because hundreds of thousands of people are ALREADY having their care rationed / cut off for ridiculous reasons under privatized insurance.

Private insurers have profits as the end goal, not health. There is simply a market failure to provide affordable health care to all Americans.

edit. Roadkill exaggerates. You cannot take an ambulance unless you need one, and if you did call one for a runny nose you would likely be fined for the costs and perhaps charged with a crime. But if you need one, guess what, your house won't be repossessed by the time you get out of the hospital to cover the costs of your medical care.

(I have lived in the USA and Canada)
It already is, private industry decides what they will cover and what they will not. Even doctors will or will not do procedures based on the patients viability. The problem with healthcare today is that it is easy to abuse. If everybody who could work did and had their own insurance there would be less abuse. A person who has worked all their life and retires on medicare still pays rediculous co payments. The system is designed that way so that the elderly would be less likely to utilize the services they deserve. On the other hand, if you recieve free care or you are on welfare you cannot recieve a co payment nor can you be denied services. This is the reason why we have elderly having chest pain in their homes not going to the ER yet young people on welfare call 911 when their cat scratches them.
What sort of wack math class made you think 37th = 1st?

Why are you so stoopid? Why do you think current healthcare serves the people and not the profits of people who are laughing at you?
It's follow the money....if ye ain't worth it, ye can't have it...of course, that goes for everything!
No ... don't believe everything you hear on Rush.
Hardly...if that were the case no member of Congress would be treated for anything.
There is no method to your madness!
