If i eat a cooked chicken, when i forgot to put it in the fridge the night before, will i get ill?

I cooked a chicken yesterday, put it on the side wrapped with foil over it. Went to bed and forgot to put it in the fridge. If i eat it later on today, will i become ill??? I did put it in the fridge about 6am this morning though. If i eat a cooked chicken, when i forgot to put it in the fridge the night before, will i get ill?
You should always put anything cooked in the fridge as soon as possible. Bac-T starts to grow as soon as it cools. Cooling it faster in a refrigerator is best as the bac-t cannot grow as fast, if at all, in the cool temps.

I surely would not take the chance of eating a couple of dollars worth of chicken if it had any chance of making me sick... it's just not worth it.

The following was quoted from the site listed above:

';Some bacteria can double their numbers every 20 minutes at temperatures above 40掳F. In 2 hours, these bacteria can become so great in number that they may cause an illness or form toxins that cause illness.

Pathogenic bacteria do not generally affect the taste, smell, or appearance of a food. In other words, one cannot tell that a food has been mishandled or is dangerous to eat. For example, food that has been left too long on the counter may be dangerous to eat, but could smell and look fine. If a food has been left in the ';Danger Zone'; (above 40 degrees) for more than 2 hours, discard it, even though it may look and smell good. Never taste a food to see if it is spoiled.';

When in doubt, throw it out!!!If i eat a cooked chicken, when i forgot to put it in the fridge the night before, will i get ill?
i wouldn't eat it.
It's recommended not to eat anything that has been in the temperature danger zone (41-140 F) for more then 4 hours. That is the time and proper temperature needed for bacteria to grow. Cooking the chicken earlier may have killed the bacteria that was on the raw chicken, but some may have started to grow while sitting on the counter. It would be up to you if you wanted to chance it, but I wouldn't.
i don't think so if the temperature is on the cooler side then no problem or you.d have gotten sick by now
Pitch it
you might get sick chicken produce a bacteria call salmonela or something like that...it gives you diarhea vomit and somemany things that you can die

go to kfc or popeyes
You will get a sickness called ';The Chicken Lickin''; You will be ill in the stomach, head, and liver for 43 days.
Once Bacteria starts to grow it doubles in the amount in 20 minute increments.12 hours of room temperature to work with and your chicken currently has over 1 billion bacteria, alive and growing.Even with it being refridgerated, the bacteris is still alive. Once it gets to 41 degrees or higher, the bacteria begins to grow again. I would not eat it, nor would I feed it to any pets. It will get you very sick!
YES, YES, YES!!! Don't eat it
Toss it out.

Bacteria growth will probably make you sick.
If chicken is cooked properly and temp inside room is less than 20 degree then chicken should remain ok for upto 8 hrs. Still you have be cautious as chicken do carry salmonella and can cause food poisoning. Spartan
