Why should you not wish ill will on someone who has been cruel to you...I mean like nasty..?

Should we not wish..hope..pray for ill of people who have been cruel to us like kicking us out in the cold..blizzard...with no place to go?Why not? Where does the bible guide us on this topic%26gt;?I have heard people say God is watching..and you are going to burn for this or that.Where is this and input please.....Thanks!Why should you not wish ill will on someone who has been cruel to you...I mean like nasty..?
Because it is written that God shall have his vengence on the unrighteous man.

And I will execute great vengeance upon them with furious rebukes; and they shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall lay my vengeance upon them.Why should you not wish ill will on someone who has been cruel to you...I mean like nasty..?
In my religion, that's a big no-no to some. We believe in karma and truly, there's no one better to exact someone's ';punishment'; for their actions than the universe or the Lord and/or Lady.

I know it's the same in your religion. Jesus wouldn't have exacted revenge on someone for throwing him out. He would have prayed for them and asked they gain kindness, compassion and patience. Who are you, as another human being who makes mistakes and is fallible, to decide this person needs to be punished? You're letting your emotions rule you when you should be ruling them.

Look at this as a new chapter in your life and an experience to learn from instead of looking at it as solely a negative thing.

Good luck to you. :)
Matthew 5:43-48

';You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.';

Matthew 5:7

';Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.';

James 2:13

Judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment!

Romans 12:17-21

Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: ';It is mine to avenge; I will repay,'; says the Lord. On the contrary:

';If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.'; Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
God tells us to pray for our enemies. ';Vengence is mine,'; saith the Lord. When someone misuses you, pray for them and move on.
The Scripture speaks of how when we treat our enemies well we ';....heap coals of fire upon their head....'; I take that to mean that God will honor our actions by exacting revenge upon the person who is wronging us accordingly. If I'm wrong about what that means, I apologize, but cannot think of anything else that it might mean.
it is for god to punish not u if u punish others than god will not punish them and if u wish ill onto others it will come back to u twofold to wish ill onto them would make u just like them instead u should pray for them that the lord will change them
You will become what you have learned to hate.
Some muslim on here has the name ';kill Christians'; then we get attacked for thinking he's an extremist...So I wish him ill for sure
Hi.

I heard that if you wish somebody ill, then it all comes back to you.

Oh, there is something else:if you do not forgive somebody, God won't forgive you. It doesn't mean that you are going to start liking that person.

If it's true, well, you have a whole life to try behaving anyway you want to experiment.

Have a nice one!
