If a person is very ill and a will is hand written by sister and signed w/2witnesses is it legal?

A person is very ill but competent, has no will and say sister writes one with him then has 2 witnesses to sign is it legal and binding? If a person is very ill and a will is hand written by sister and signed w/2witnesses is it legal?
That is going to vary depending on the state. You should check with an attorney. There are attorneys who will come to the home of a client to get the information so that they can prepare a will and get it signed properly.

Usually a handwritten will would be ok, if it is signed by the deceased in front of witnesses. But the witnesses may have to come into court to verify the circumstances surrounding their viewing of the signing of the will, and if there is a step missing, the will could be easily declared to be invalid.

If the will is invalid, the estate will pass as if there is not will, unless there is a prior will which is valid.

Good Luck
