What do u think will nature ever punish humans for their ill behavior towards her?

I wish nature sends us humans hundreads of earthquakes and thousands of hurricanes and tornados to teach industrialists and goverments a good lesson destroying so called presious economy. What do u think will nature ever punish humans for their ill behavior towards her?
Nature is not punitive. It's humans who always think nature is an adversary and try to tame her rivers, pave her rich soils, and fill in marshes to build entire communities of people.

We've had many ';lessons'; and many dents in the economy trying to recover. Man and nature need to learn to live as one. It's an achievable goal, unlike time travel or a vacation on the sun. What do u think will nature ever punish humans for their ill behavior towards her?
yup, definitely earthquakes, avalanches, volcanoes etc are not exactly nature's party tools
The respected scientist James Lovelock agrees with you. He's convinced that that's what going on with global warming. His latest book ';The Revenge of Gaia'; (another name for Earth) is all about that.

http://www.amazon.com/Revenge-Gaia-Earth鈥?/a>
What make you so sure St. Darwin won't divert those hurricanes and tornados to you?
Any one when disturbed gets angry and certainly if mother nature gets angry we are in problem. We are trying to her limits and this is not at all good.

People who believe on scientists and human ego should undertand even today we do not understand nature well. Life on Earth is dependent on nature and its natural cycles of climate. If this is disturbed we will certainly be in problem.

May be, people who are wealthy or of developed nations will face less problems and government there will certainly take protactive actions but what about poor countries?

Poor people and wildlife will be the once who will be punished and face the music whereas most pollution and destruction has been the product of so called developed nations.

Soon we will have to face fury of mother earth and no one knows to what extent we are going to suffer, Sunami, Global Warming and may be some thing worst.
The Earth is going to do what ever she chooses whether we exist or not. But if the human race keeps going at the pace their going Mother Earth may start changing faster than ever, not even the top scientist won't be able to keep up with her.
Your question is a classic example of the problem with global warming enthusiasts. Instead of applying scientific principles to the topic, you turn Nature into an entity...a god...and pray at its feet to make the unbelievers convert. Instead, try recognizing this planet for what it is...a dynamic system of naturally occurring and ever changing events...events which can be tracked backwards for eons to find similarities that had nothing to do with industrialized humans.
Isn't that what she is already doing?
Be careful what you ask for, The tornado you want might twist your little liberal head right off your shoulders. The economy you hate feeds you. If you get your wish, you will die, and that will be nature's punishment.
Some one forgot their medicine today, what you give ';live'; to is nothing but a hunk of rock, dirt, and iron. One day not matter what you do, no matter how you feel about it, this big old world is going to burn, burn ,burn, gone. nothing, no life, no plants, no fuzzy little critter, that's the truth, now, the good news, once this mess is gone, God, who made it all to begin with, will create the ';New Heaven and The New Earth'; and most likely people like YOU who where more concerned with a tree, than you were about a human being, won't be there, then It will truly be Paradise.

Scientology wants to eradicate psychiatry. What will happen to the mentally ill they refuse to acknowledge?

Tom Cruise wants to ';smash'; psychiatry. Scientology will not accept mentally ill people into their organization.

So what will happen to all the raving lunatics who are kept on this side of sanity by extended psychiatric treatment?Scientology wants to eradicate psychiatry. What will happen to the mentally ill they refuse to acknowledge?
Scientology is a form of psychology that says 'no' to psychiatric medication. It maintains the mind can be changed without medication - just pay for lots of Dianetics courses and all will be sorted! Yes. Well..... The words 'assylum' and 'lunatics' come to mind.Scientology wants to eradicate psychiatry. What will happen to the mentally ill they refuse to acknowledge?
In other words: Mind control techniques, practiced by amateurs.

They will be forced to pay money for 'readings' and Scientology will make allot more money.

It all makes sense if you think it through.

The reason Scientology is against modern Psychiatry is because it is a direct competitor to Scientology's source of income.

Psychiatrists make money for selling pills, Scientology makes money for selling information and providing 'secrets'.
I hope you will carefully read what I wrote. It may change how you view things about people with mental illness.

You know, you try to sound like you actually care about people suffering from mental illness, but then you call all of us ';raving lunatics.';

Thanks a lot! I have bipolar disorder and am SEVERELY disabled by it, and I am not a raving lunatic EVER. Most people I know with very severe mental illness are never raving lunatics either.

Obviously, you fear us people with serious mental illness. I'm a fat 43 year old married woman with 4 cats and I sew dolly clothes for little girls for the one little contribution I can make for society. Oh, I donate my O negative blood, too. Please fear me!

I hope your comments were made out of lack of knowledge, and not to be mean spirited. Half the burden of living with bipolar disorder is the disorder itself, and half is how the general public perceives people like me (the stigma). Most people with mental illness will say the same - they have trouble recovering even with meds because they must hide in shame, and they did nothing wrong. They inherited their illness (there is a strong genetic component to many mental illnesses). Also, even tho the newspapers do it too, calling us 'the mentally ill' is offensive. We are people with mental illness. Trust me, there is a difference, especially when 1/3 of the public wants to shove us back in institutions.

I also dislike the Scientology ';religion.'; They do a disservice. They are a cult.
Do you want a real answer or is this a rant?

They would go to doctors and psychologists.

But I think you over-worded it abit. They dont want to eradicate psychiatry. Just practices like lobotomy, electro-shock, and major medicating when such things are not considered by even the psychiatrists to actually be a cure of the problem.

The image of a psychiatrist talking to someone about their past is actually right in line with the way Scientology thinks such things should be handled.
Actually, they often accept people with mental conditions and then convince them to stop taking all their medicine.... which has resulted in quite a lot of pain for quite a lot of people.

Disgusting.
I guess they'll burn in hell with all the rest of us who don't join the Scientologist ';church';?

I don't know if they believe in hell or not... I cant stomach being around them long enough to research their beliefs...
Scientology is a cult dedicated to making money any way that they can.

Even they don't have the power to eradicate psychiatry. There are far too many people in this country who have been helped or had family members helped by responsible doctors.

SOME Christians say mentally ill people are demon possessed, but they are also in the minority.

The ONLY reason Scientology gets the publicity it does is because Americans are OBSESSED with celebrities. Scientology knows this %26amp; uses idiots like Tom Cruise to appeal to other idiots.
Aren't Christians also saying that mentally ill are possessed by demons or something? How come nobody is freaking out about that?
Well, if you use Lisa McPhearson as an example the out come doesn't seem very promising.

http://www.whyaretheydead.net/
If Scientology won't accept the mentally ill, then who the heck are all those Scientologists? I always assumed their problem with psychiatry was that it was helping people who otherwise would be inclined to turn to Scientology.
Have you seen the unfunny truth? Scary.
if they dont accept mentally ill people, why in the hell is tom cruise a member??? is it just me or is he obviously a raving lunatic?????!!!!!!!!
L. Ron Hubbard, the founder of the Church of Scientology, wrote that he wanted to take over the mental health field. The Church of Scientology doesn't currently accept insane people, but once psychiatry is demolished (a Hubbard fantasy) then they will set up mental health centers. Likely, they'll just put the insane in a ';quiet place'; with a great big rock to keep one company and with which to contemplate ones toes or the voices in one's head.

If you have no money to pay to the Church of Scientology, you'll never get anywhere with them.

Hubbard preached that ';the psychs'; (meaning psychiatry and psychology and its related fields) were evil and should be destroyed. In the present, the psychs are competitors to Scientology, and so are to be feared and fought.

It's more complicated than a simple hatred of psychiatry. By pointing out to its members (the Scientologists) that evil is ';over there'; while purporting to have all the answers to mental ills itself, it keeps the members from noticing that the Church of Scientology itself is practicing mental manipulation on its own members without their knowledge or consent and to their detriment.

Almost everyone who has been in the Church of Scientology and subsequently left, has discovered for themselves the degree to which they were ';brainwashed'; while in the organization. There are thousands of personal testimonials all over the Internet (including mine) testifying to that horrible discovery that when one was ';in'; they saw their world through rose-colored glasses, and once ';out'; they saw the horror of their life back in Scientology. Upon this discovery, one feels shame that they were once part of Scientology.
Hopefully he wont succeed.. it would be a disaster..
I think it's very naive on their part, personally. I understand that some medications do more harm than good, but there are cases in which mediaction is very much needed. I think it is dangerous to assume that no one needs medication at all. People seem to forget that the mind can be ill and fragile just like any other part of the body. I think it's extremely sad that he would take such a one-sided view on these things. I was very deeply angered by his interview, the one in which he claims that ';psychiatry is a pseudo science';, and he also said that there are no chemical imbalances. It bothers me because it's so easy to say things like this if you have never been through it. Has he ever had hallucinations, or deep depression. I think Tom should come back and share his opinion if he goes through it himself. Then we'll see if vitamins are enough help. It just saddens me so much :(.

POLL: Are you able to circumvent the tactics of those who do not wish you anything but harm and ill will?

I do not worry about them because of the grace of God and the glory of God they can cause me no harm. The Lord God is my protector and shield.
keep your enemies close
not always, I just try to keep them at a safe distance
nope

Can someone think you are wrong, and say so, without bearing you any ill will, and even being friendly?

Or must it be ';All paths are equally valid, and yours is just as valid for you as mine is for me, they are just different';?Can someone think you are wrong, and say so, without bearing you any ill will, and even being friendly?
I think there is an appropriate way to say you do not agree with another. I respectfully disagree usually works.

Personally, I do feel there is validity on all paths. Can someone think you are wrong, and say so, without bearing you any ill will, and even being friendly?
I have some atheist friends who think I'm totally nuts for being a Christian. They think I'm dead wrong, and say so on a rather frequent basis. Also, there's a local minster who likes to tease me for being a member of a different denomination, but still calls me up for lunch dates. We get along just fine. Any teasing is of the gentle variety. We know that we have differing viewpoints on the issue of religion, but are quite friendly nonetheless. There are many non-religious points that we can agree on, and we tend to find the common ground rather than attempting to tear each other down based on our differences. I have many friends who differ with me in terms of religion, politics and more, but we're cordial about it. I don't expect everybody to share my beliefs.
It is possible, however most people think that when referring to religion that you must pick one side or the other. I have disagreed with many people yet I stay grounded and friendly because I realize with all that God has and is, I just might not know as much as I would like to believe that I do.

We can't know what God has planned for someone else in this life and to say that someone is 'wrong' in their interpretation or path is probably not wise in the sense that we do not know the mind of God and His plans for this person and situation.

Therefor I do believe that they are all equally valid and should be kept on a friendly level....aren't we all just seeking the same things?

Blessings!
There's nothing inherently unfriendly about disagreeing with someone. Indeed I consider it quite nice when someone takes the time to point out an error in my thinking. Of course it's only helpful if they have something to back it up. If someone tells me I'm wrong but can't explain why, that's a bit annoying.
Well, of course, it is possible.

But, when it comes to matters of faith, it is very difficult.

Spiritually speaking, of course.
This happens between mature Christians. Those with an emphasis on truth only, these are they that are quick to argue.

And no, not all paths are equally valid.
No, it's possible to disagree (see, just did it!)
It is possible, but it is rare in this world.
  • acne treatment
  • If two mentally ill people mate, will their offspring be mentally ill too?

    possibly. there's a 50% - 50% with each baby.

If you are mentally ill, will you still be like that in heaven - I don't want to have OCD there :(?

i think that God heals all illnesses so mental illnesses will be cured tooIf you are mentally ill, will you still be like that in heaven - I don't want to have OCD there :(?
    dont know

dont knowIf you are mentally ill, will you still be like that in heaven - I don't want to have OCD there :(?
of coarse not. so don't obsess about it.
Well, seems like The Father, Son %26amp; Holy Ghost have split personality disorder...not to mention Jesus' hints of passive/aggressiveness...so maybe mental illness isn't so bad!
