Or would that be bad for my record?Got a job interview at noon today but i'm feeling very ill - would it be ok if i call to rearrange?
Depends on who else is going for the job. If you are up against other strong candidates you will probably do yourself no favours. If they are desperate to fill the vacancy you may be OK. Of course you don't know what the case is.
However, going for the job when you are ill may not do you any favours either because you might find it difficult to concentrate. On the other hand they might be impressed that you have made the effort in spite of being ill.
I don't think there is a clear cut answer. My inclination is that if you are able to make it out of the door then do so otherwise phone and apologise and try an arrange for another interview.Got a job interview at noon today but i'm feeling very ill - would it be ok if i call to rearrange?
try your hardest to go and explain that you are ill to the interveiwer.
they will appreciate the fact that you are not feeling too bright and have turned up anyway.
if i was interviewing you, the first thing i would think is that you were not going to be someone that is always pulling sickies.
If you're so ill that you will do badly at the interview, then by requesting a change of date isn't going to lose you anything you would have lost by attending, it may be the best option. Only you know how ill you are.
You can rearrange. If they are in a hurry to fill this position this may not be a good idea. Try and go. Luck. Is it nerves making you ill.
it may reflect badly, but some companies will be OK about it.
