My baby has been ill and will now onlt go to sleep if held, how can i stop this?

Is she still ill or is she better? If she's back to normal, it's time to put her back in her crib. She may cry at first but she must get back to her usual routine, it may take 2 or 3 days.My baby has been ill and will now onlt go to sleep if held, how can i stop this?
maybe he just want to be held, that's fine.

Let him get better, and then u stop holding him, but i still do it anyway.

My baby is 8 month almost and after i feed him (formula) i still hold him , not a lot only like 5 minutes, he goes to sleep right a way. But i just like to hold him, because the rest of the day he likes to play in his bassinet, eat and sleep, so i don't hold him that much, but in the evening i love to do that.My baby has been ill and will now onlt go to sleep if held, how can i stop this?
WHY????? would you want to stop it??? your baby is looking to you for comfort, and has the instinct to know that it can come to you for such when sick.what would you like to be able to do,just lay the baby down when its sick and walk away to go do other things????????
she/he is feeling needy as all babies do especially when sick. You willhave to wait for the sickness to be over, they dont know whats happening , only know mum gives them security
It would be good if you can continue to provide the comfort while the baby is ill. If you do not have a good baby sling/carrier, you should get one as soon as possible.

I do understand that even though your child is sick life goes on and things need to get done (cooking, cleaning, etc) and having a carrier will free up your hands while keeping your child with you.

Another helpful tool would be a baby swing....once the baby is asleep or almost asleep you could use the swing in the room where you are working.

Hope this helps, good luck and stay safe.
when u go to put the baby down do it very very slowly and try not to shake him that much i have to that with my cousins daughter when she is sick so trust me it works for her so i pretty sure it will work for u and your baby
