How much will I pay for insurance on 2002 Suzuki gsxr-600 in Chicago, Ill.??.?

I'll soon turn 18....is there a difference on insurance payment when your under 21.?How much will I pay for insurance on 2002 Suzuki gsxr-600 in Chicago, Ill.??.?
when i was 17 my insurance for a cbr600.... much like the gsxr was 拢1500 (about $3000 i think), for third party insurance which is the lowest.

this 16 year old bike was in a brick garage, data tagged and chained (according to them) and they still insisted that it have an alarm/immobiliser.

that quote was the lowest i got.

you'd be better off to buy a smaller bike (400cc?)... they still are blisteringly quick (130mph+) and you dont need a big bike in the city. How much will I pay for insurance on 2002 Suzuki gsxr-600 in Chicago, Ill.??.?
Go to progressive and get a quote

have you ridden before? What is your record?

fact is you are 18, probably haven't ridden a bike before, probably aren't getting licensed through a MSR program, and probably are doing it for all he wrong reasons (considering the type of bike you want).

Crotch rockets in Chicago will be pricey but not as pricey as a sports car for just basic insurance primarily because a majority of 18 yr olds who get into bike accidents die and Illinois insurance is only liability so they dont have to pay for your death just the other persons death and damages.

When I was 21 and bought my bike I paid a little over $1K per year for just basic bare bones insurance.

If you want full coverage (which you should get) look to pay closer to $2K if not more per year.
$1200 for bare bones coverage

$2000-$3000 for full coverage

most kids run crotch rockets with no insurance

the rates also refect how good or bad ur credit rating is

you can get limited coverage for 3 months outta the year at a reduced rate.

crotch rockets have high insurance rates

if you would own a mid size cruiser bike, or a dual sport bike or a scooter the rates would be much lower.
your age, record, and maybe family history every ones is different
