Getting my 6 mth old Chi neutered and a hernia removed and wondered what to expect after I get him home the same day.How ill will my Chihuahua be after he gets neutered?

well my dog got neutered and he had to wear a cone on his head so he wont chew on the stitches but that was all that had any effect except now sence we had to leave him over night he hates being left home alone and follows us around the house.
