How do you feel about people wishing our President ill will?

You know what I mean by ';ill will';How do you feel about people wishing our President ill will?
We also wish you would get away from the kool-aid machine. You can't REALLY be this blind can you?How do you feel about people wishing our President ill will?
I am a conservative/republican.I do not wish ill will upon my president,only idiots do that.If he fails the country suffers.So the collective majority looks for eventual success,not regress.

I never wished Bush ill will. I knew that his failures would be our country's failures. It became unbearable to withhold resentment when he said he didn't care about his approval ratings since the will of the people was being discarded as not important. Even so I still never wish to see harm come to him or his family.


I would hope that others would not wish harm to Obama regardless of how they personally feel about him.
Actually, I don't really know what you mean. If you are referring to all those people on YA who are asking about assassinations and death and stuff like that, well I find that to be ignorant and disgusting and not worth the time to respond to (even though I have).





If you are talking about the fate of his programs, that's a different story. I personally ascribe to a political philosophy that is 180 degrees from his - I believe in lower taxes, less government involvement, ';free market'; economics and unencumbered Capitalism. I won't go into the reasons here -you can check out my other posts for that.





However - it's a great question about whether I want the President to ';fail'; or if I wish him ';ill will';, or how you would describe my feelings.





I do not believe in Socialism. I think that what Obama is doing with the takeover of the US major industries - banking, autos, health insurance - that is a move toward a Socialist philosophy. It is my hope that the American people will come to their senses and vote to block that kind of agenda - block it by writing to our Congressmen and our Senators and make our wishes known. If you regard that as wishing the President ';ill will';, well, then, so be it. I disagree with him, I am an American, and it is my right to be heard.





Disagreement with Presidential policies, in my opinion, is not ';Ill will';. If a President proposes an agenda that is wrong for this country, it is our obligations as citizens to vote that agenda down in whatever way we can. That is the beauty of Democracy.





In Obama's case, I think that he is so extremely to the left in so many areas, and his changes are so radical, that many Americans are beginning to oppose his policies. Many believe that his total failure as a President to pass his agenda will be the only thing that gives America a chance to survive.





Is that ';ill will'; toward a President, or just a recognition of his departure from his Constitutional powers and ';good will'; toward basic American principles?





So no, I don't know what you mean by Ill Will - but I have stated my opinion.
I don't understand the shift. If anything bad was said about Bush while he was in office, that person was automatically labeled ';unpatriotic'; and ';unamerican'; by the administration and its followers. Why the double standard?








I personally don't care about disagreeing with Obama's policies, but a lot of the stuff on Y!A is offensive, I hope it isn't like that in the ';real world.'; It isn't in my state, which is in the south, but I don't know about the rest of America. Yeah I hated Bush, but I never wished he would be assassinated or used racial slurs against him.
Against it,but I disagree with his polices.


I never Bush bashed on a personal levl,but did not care for him politically either,safe from giggling at a couple grammatical errors,I do the same when Obama's teleprompter goes out.I do not wish death,ill on anyone though.It is against my moral and spiritual beliefs.
It's sad. Our nation is in crisis, and rather than pitch in to help, they whine because they lost the election and things aren't going their way.


After 9/11 the country rallied around President Bush and gave him an approval rating over 90%. He didn't do anything special to deserve it, it was just a symbol of Americans coming together in a crisis. Now we have our economic 9/11, and Republicans refuse to unite for the good of the country. They'd rather sit on the sidelines and complain.

I hate to admit it on this conservative forum, but I have to admit that I hated those criminals we had in the White House from 2000 - 2008, and yet I loved and love my country. I wouldn't want anything really bad to happen to Bush/Cheney, but a prison cell does seem appropriate.

It is funny how they just know that the people that do not like them ';wishing ill will'; to President Obama wish for same thing for George Bush so that make it ok.
Thank you OMG you are absolutely correct. I remember the liberals begging for something to happen to Bush. I don't wish any harm to obama and his family I just want him out of the white house.
I think it's at the very least unpatriotic and at the worst (and you know which ';ill will'; I mean) treasonous.





Please note: I make a distinction between ill will and disagreeing with him and his policies.
It just proves that even they believe he is doing a good job, so they wish him ill will because they don't like him because he is a liberal.
These are the same people whose parents cheered when JFK was assassinated. Both they and their parents are despicable and not fit to call themselves Americans.
It kinda goes with the job. There were daily posts throughout the internet wishing the absolute worst for Bush when he was in office. I personally think anyone who has that type of wish is an idiot
