Will a snake eat an ill mouse? Would an ill mouse make a snake sick?

I'm just curious - I'm not trying to feed any ill mice to a snake. If a mouse I have is possibly ill, would the snake have any ability to recognize such illness and not eat? If not, and it eats the mouse [let's just say it has cancer.] would this be at all dangerous to the snake? Will a snake eat an ill mouse? Would an ill mouse make a snake sick?
The snake will eat a sick mouse because it looks just as hot as any other mammal. By hot I mean warm. Cancer will most likely not infect the snake. Some viral infections and bacterial infections can get inter-species sick. like animal to human, mouse to rat, hamster to chinchilla, bird to lizard, mouse to snake. It's best to rid of any possibly sick mice.

I also hope you are using feeder mice. I have pet fancy mice (one with a tumor) so I get a bit touchy but I understand that snakes need to eat to... but please stick to feeder mice, they are less expensive and are less useful for mouse breeders and lovers.

LoL.

Just saying. Hope I helped. Will a snake eat an ill mouse? Would an ill mouse make a snake sick?
Oh, if it has sores it's most likely mites. These probably will infect the snake so good call. The mouse is also weak. It got a disease from the mites. Go to the petstore and buy 8 in 1 flea and tick spray for small animals. This will kill the mites too. I could be wrong though so please,

look through the fur of the mouse for suddenly dissapearing spots. (I had a mouse named Snowy that died of mites)

Now that the mouse is living alone with no other mouse to clean it its mite problem will increase alot. But under no circumstance should you put it cback w/ the others until it's cured.

If the problem is mites then make sure you treat the mice that the sick mouse has previously been living with.

Check your snake too. If it has mites then you have to go and find a treatment yourself. I don't have snakes so i wouldn't know what product to use to treat it.

Yes it will eat a sick mouse. In NATURE it is NORMAL for the sick and injured to become prey and be eaten.

EDIT Frozen rodents are not recommended to prevent the spread of disease. Most diseases become dormant when they are frozen not dead. Diseases that infect warm blooded animals usually can't infect cold blooded animals.Thawed frozen rodents are fed to prevent the rodent from biting the snake.
Well some mice carry diseases that can be passed on to snakes thats why they recommend that you feed your snake frozen/thawed.
